The Parish Council has a number of policies, orders and documents that it works to and/or abides by. The documents listed below provide guidance to the Parish Council in serving its community: - The Model Code of Conduct was adopted by the Parish Council in June 2007.
Refreshed Standing Orders were adopted by the Parish Council on 12 January 2009.
Refreshed Financial Regulations were adopted by the Parish Council on 9 February 2009.
Freedom Of Information Act 2000 The Model Publication Scheme and new Information Guide was adopted by the Parish Council on 10 November 2008. Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 Parish Councils are required to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. The scheme provides the public with a structured listing of any information available and how it can be accessed. The Scheme also sets out how the Parish Council intends to charge for providing the information.
Complaints Code Of Practice The Parish Council is required to have a procedure in place for dealing with complaints about the administration of its affairs.
Each year the Parish Council must undertake a thorough review of its activities and look at all matters which could possibly prevent a small public body from functioning. The Clerk has the responsibility of preparing the assessment for presentation to the Council. The Parish Council has recently undertaken a review of the document which was adopted on 9 February 2009.
