The Clerk will update on progress on issues not covered elsewhere on the Agenda.

4. Prison Issues

Briefing on meeting between representatives of the Prison Authorities, Chorley Borough Council and Parish Council – 8 June 2004

5. Parish Plan Action

Members are requested to formally adopt the Parish Plan as a policy document and note progress in implementing the recommendations.

6. Multi User Track

Progress report and briefing on meeting with representatives from Lancashire County Council – 14 June 2004

7. Parish Council Website

The website has been running now for several months, consideration now needs to be given to the content and future development/maintenance.

8. Wildflower Project

Briefing on meeting with representatives from Lancashire County Council – 14 June 2004 regarding grant application for Southport Road verge.

9. Quality Parish Council Status

A letter has been received from Lancashire County Council seeking views on the type of Charter appropriate for Parish Councils with QPS, in association with the principle authorities.

10. Horse Issues

A letter has been received from a resident (distributed at last meeting) consideration needs to be given to a reply.

Consideration also needs to be given to the problems associated with horses on the Wymott Estate.

11. Wymott Park Maintenance

A letter has been received requesting support for improvements to the playing surface of Wymott Park. Members are requested to consider appropriate action.

12. Planning

A letter has been received from the Head of Planning responding to Parish Council concerns, this will be read at the meeting.

The Clerk will draw attention to any other matters relating to planning.

13. Planning Applications

Members are asked to give consideration to the way in which planning applications should be dealt with. Please note the content of the magazine article attached.

14. Finance

  • Auditors Report and finalisation of accounts
  • Review of Insurance Policy
  • Approval of items of expenditure

15. Letter from the Queen

Members are asked to note the content of a letter from Buckingham Palace.

16. Matters Raised by Members

An opportunity for Members to raise items that need attention or matters for discussion at future Parish Council meetings.
